the best and top location for visiting cannes, it's just off all the attractions in cannes, the harbour and all the shops and restaurants.

The location of the hotel is fantastic, it is in the center of everything. The physical property needs a freshening up, but is was comfortable.Definitely not a luxury hotel

breakfast was very good. we ate in the dining room. the room was too small for comfort. it had a small terrace facing the harbor, which was nice.

room too small. the a/c fan is too powerful for the small room. you get either no air circulation or too much. the lights on the terrace are on at night and cannot be turned off.

The location was excellent; near to shopping and restaurants, the beach and casino. The price also represented good value.

Our only complain about this hotel is that, despite having booked 4 months prior to our stay and indicating that we wanted a non-smoking room, we were in fact given a smoking room, on a smoking floor. The room therefore smelled of smoke which was unpleasant, but more an offense to principle, again given that our booking was quite in advance.

Central location with a nice view to the harbour.

Extra 6 euros for Wi-Fi and a bit noisy in the morning but being central that is difficult to avoid.

There is a great view on the port of Cannes and it's very beautiful. The hotel is near the railway station, the sea and all the shops and good restaurants.

It's not very quiet during the night as there are lots of cafes downstairs. But if you close the windows it's ok.

Our room cost E87.00 and we were upgraded to a room with sea view and balcony for no extra cost

The noise from the Casino over the road was dreadful and I am sure the hotel owner has done her best to curb it, -not the hotel's fault at all, but disturbing nevertheless.

Good breakfast with lots of options, gorgeous and fairly clean place. Extremely great hotel employees all round. Fab, amazing location in the good area. 30 km from Nice Cote d'Azur airport. Wonderful experience there.

Its location, comfort and the staff

We really liked the location and the seaview. We also liked the old world feel about it; it has a strong sense of history and of being part of past times. It has a very convenient location, close to harbour and shops. You step out into the heart of Cannes.In general, I would say it was homely and welcoming.

The staff are friendly and helpful up to a point but I wouldn't push my luck! Coming from Ireland the breakfast was a disappointment and overpriced at 15eurs. The fresh fruit salad was anything but fresh and the fruit bowl could have been better. Limited choices in general.The hotel websit suggested that there was a swimming pool and spa!! However we won't hold that against them. A final point is that I asked for a twin room and we were given a double.

Beautiful building, tasteful room interior, stylish and romantic.

Windows are too thin, not sound-proof. Impossible to sleep due to people in bars on the street at night. Superior rooms are at the front to the harbor and thus better, although the windows themselves are no better there.

Splendid is in a great location, just a short walk to the beach and local cafes. The room was cozy with beautiful views. The staff was super helpful and even arranged beach loungers for us. We really appreciated the charm of the hotel.

There is no place to parking there, because the city is very full anytime
